Facebook launches new VR headset, name is 'Oculus Go'

San Francisco: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of a new virtual reality headset 'Oculus Go' VR headset with an initial price of $ 199 (about 13,000 rupees). Oculus VR wrote in a blog post late last night, 'Oculus Go is our first standalone product, the easiest way to go to VR. It will be available for sale for $ 199 next year. Watching movies and concerts in VR, playing games and having fun with your friends will be wonderful in itself. '

Unlike its previous version 'Oculus Rift', this VR headset does not require a smartphone or a plug-in and a personal computer to work. The CEO of Facebook said at the company's annual 'Oculus Connect' conference in San Jose, California that it is the 'most accessible VR headset' and it is likely to be launched at any time in 2018. Zuckerberg also wants a billion people join the VR. According to Hugo Barra, Vice President of Facebook Equipment VR, the easiest way is for developers to join VR.

To be talked about, the headset has a high-resolution fast-switch LCD screen that helps reduce the 'Screen Door Effect' (SDE) for visual clarity. There are next-generation lenses to see a wide area with low brightness. 'Oculus Go' has cameras on the headset and this device uses computer vision technology to detect Orientale tracking. Speakers have been installed in the headset, which users can take directly to the VR and make headset easy to share with anyone else. 3.5mm standard headphone jack is also provided for personal use.
