Anil Sharma had confirmed on Saturday that he would go to BJP, but party spokesman Ganesh Dutt had formally announced it on Sunday. After leaving the party, Anil Sharma said that he was not getting respect in the Congress, so decided to leave the party.

It is reported from sources that in Himachal Pradesh, Union Minister JP Nadda and former CM Premchand Kumar Dhumal of Himachal Pradesh are ahead in the race for BJP's CM candidate's run. Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh are to be held on 9th November.

On Saturday, a BJP leader told that the party's Central Election Committee (CEC) had held discussions for more than two hours on the names of potential candidates for the 68-member assembly elections and will be declared a list of candidates on Sunday. .
